FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alberta NDP MLA Nathan Ip, Critic for Jobs, Economy and Trade, issued the following statement regarding the October job figures from Statistics Canada:

“I’m pleased to see new jobs created in Alberta, especially given the concerning losses that were reported in the previous month. In the midst of this volatile job market, Albertans continue to struggle to pay their bills or even find an affordable place to call home.”

“The UCP government must take real action immediately to address the housing crisis in our province, and they must drop Danielle Smith’s self-serving, half-baked scheme to pull Albertans out of the Canada Pension Plan.”

“Albertans deserve better. Instead of this roller coaster of economic uncertainty, we need to create a stable and predictable business environment. This is how we attract investment and create good-paying jobs for Albertans.”
